What our summer has been like so far!

Sleeping on the couch is a big favorite in our family. Well for the boys anyways!! Swimming for almost 5 hours, missing a nap and being hungry wore this little feller out.

Before church Wednesday night Jackson "was" playing the Wii!! He was also wore out from the almost 5 hours of swimming. He fell asleep on the ottoman with the Wii remote in hand!!!

This is a FAVE time for me!! Jackson leads our prayer during lunch time now that he is home. Love love love hearing him pray!!

Last week we went swimming every day but Thursday. We made a trip to the Library and walmart. The 2 little boys passed out on the way home and slept for 4 hours. At 5 they finally woke up and Jackson even took a nap!! I LOVE letting them play their little hearts out. It makes for some tired little boys!! After Shelia picked Matt up we went to eat at Papa's Pizza and let Jackson swim Thursday night! It was a great week. Jackson is at the beach with Rodney and I am only keeping Matt Thursday and Friday. I hate when he is gone. :(

Jackson's field trip to the Zoo!!!

On May 11th we had an amazing Field trip at Zoo Atlanta. It has been years since I had been and I was super excited to spend the day with my No. 1 little boy!! We woke up bright and early that Tuesday Morning! I was going to take Stephen to a friend from church and Jackson decided he wanted Stephen to tag along. So we headed to school got his Field Trip tshirt and scooted down the road to meet my Stepmom and little sister! It was a fabulous day! The boys were extra well mannered and Mary Grace was precious as always!!! We met the rest of the class and went in. After a few group shots and a potty break we broke up and it was just the 5 of us. It was nice not following the school group and just spending some good quality time with family. I took way to many pictures, but the memories will be with us forever!! Here are some hi lights from our day!!!

Mrs. Palmers 1st graders!! The shirt says Mrs Palmers "FROG"tastic 1st graders!! She loves frogs and Tessa's mom made all 21 shirts!! Several kids are missing.
Of course a fan favorite from my group!! Jackson and Stephen love turtles!!

Me and my little roo!!

I loved the Kangaroos. SO pretty!!! Grandma helped Stephen push the buttons to hear the different animal sounds!!

I can't for the life of me think what these are called. They were so darn cute!!! They reminded me of my 2 active little fellers!! They were running and swing from branch to branch!! The baby was especially cute!!!
Stephen LOVED the wart hogs!! I spoke with a few moms the next day at the ball field and they had saw the wart hogs last after lunch. They all commented on the baby wart hogs. They said the babies ran around like crazy! I am sure Stephen would have LOVED to see that!!!

Jackson or Mary Grace commented on how he looked scared and was shaking!!

MY FAVORITES!!! The boys bathroom is decorated in Giraffes and I can't wait to print some out and put them in frames. I got some really really good ones!!

This was hilarious!! Again the other moms commented about this guy getting up and playing in the afternoon. I guess he was being lazy in the morning!!

Jackson took this picture and it turned out pretty good!!! Might use this in the boys bathroom as well!!

Jackson thought this was really cool.!!!

Isn't he a doll!!! OMG so cute!! (OH and he posed for a picture with out fussing!!!!)

This Gorilla would not move. Jackson thought it was super funny that I took a picture of his back end. I think he has told everyone about it!!

AWWW The Pandas were just so darn cute. They had 3. They were all 13 years old. I would take one home if they would have let me!!!

Stephen LOVED the pandas. He would just laugh and laugh!!

We got to see one of Jackson's BF named Coby.

Jackson, Stephen and Mary Grace watching the silly otters. They were just running and running!!!

Very cool!!! They played the majority of the time we were at the station.

Jackson LOVED this frog!!

Mary Grace just scooted Stephen down the hand rail on his rump. She would go by each window showing Stephen all the animals.

UGH!! I hate these!!!

This was AWESOME!!!

Yuck!!! Jackson took most of the snake pictures. He LOVES snakes!!

Red Panda. Never got to see his face, but was still beautiful!!!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Happy Mothers day to my dear Mama!! She has been a great one and I love her very very much. She is always there when I need to talk or when I need her to pray. We eat lunch every Friday together and I talk to her almost every single day. I sometimes even call her 10 times in one day. There is no one like her and I do love that about her. I am very blessed to have such a Godly mother who prays for us, loves us unconditional and who even wants to put up with me!!! I can call her 5 times about a recipe and she will walk me through it. If I am having a hard day with the kids she is always there for a shoulder to cry on and an inspiration to do better.

Now this is Jo Anna. My lovely Step Mother! She had to put up with me during the hard teenage years and she still loves me. Well I hope she does!!! I love her because she puts up with my dad and also she is the mother to my very favorite little sister. She is always a phone call away and I love that I can call her and talk about just nothing!! When I was younger I did not appreciate her like I should have and I hate that. She has been the best and always wants the best for us!!!!

This is my Mother In Law (MIL) Growing up I was always scared to get married because of all the horrible stories you hear about MILs. Well let me just tell you something I have the BEST ever MIL. She is always there when I have a question about cooking, gardening, and mothering. I could not have asked for a better MIL. I was scared to death to meet her, and now I could not live without her. She is such a wonderful women and I am so thankful I have her as a MIL.

So needless to say I am pretty blessed to have some great women in my life. I am the mom I am because of all of them. I hope and pray that each one of you have a very very blessed Mothers Day!!!

Just for....................

Just for Today:

I will let you look down the drain pipe with your friends. They make soap and hand sanitizer everyday. It means you are curious and I want that little mind to keep thinking! Just for today I will let you wear your bubbas shoes in the house because that means you love him and miss him when he is gone. You might not like him tomorrow and for the moment its sweet!

Just for today I will let you dump all the eggs out on the floor. It means you are having fun and I don't want that to stop.

Just for today I will not take your picture 500 times and expect you to smile if you don't want to. I know you hate having your picture taken so I will not take your picture like I did on the one below.

Just for today I will let you ride on your dirt bike and not have a fit. I know you are careful and I know you enjoy it. I wont take that enjoyment away!

Just for today I will let you sleep in my bed and not fuss. One day you will be to big for my bed and not want to sleep or cuddle with me.

Just for today I will let you have fun getting dirty and muddy. I will even let you wear your shoes in the pool so it wont hurt your feet. I have to wash your clothes anyways.

Just for today if we see a giant turtle on the side of Post Rd I will turn around 2 times so both of the boys can see it. Its not every day we see a HUGE turtle walking around.

Just for today I will let you eat your snow cone all by yourself. If you get sticky and messy it will be okay. I have baby wipes in the diaper bag anyways!

Just for today I will get you want you need. I wont tell you to get it yourself. I like helping others and LOVE helping ya'll.

Just for today I will let you pick up frogs and other nasty stuff. I don't have to touch it so I should let you enjoy what you enjoy!

JUST FOR EVERYDAY:

I will love ya'll unconditionally.
I will pray for you every chance I get.
I will think of you every moment I get.
You will always be my baby.
I will pray for you to be saved.
I will thank GOD for you.
I will be happy to call you my son.
I will be happy to be called mother, mom or mama.
I said in my last post that it had been a rough week. It is alot better. I have got to stop sweating the small stuff. Tomorrow is a new day. It got me to thinking about all the little stuff I fuss about, worry about or get upset about. I love being a mom to my 2 wonderful sons. I am so blessed to have them!!

A few Jackson stories!!!

He comes up with some of the craziest, silliest, funniest things EVER!! Here are 2 that happened recently:

Jackson was talking to 2 kids at school about the bible. He asked them if they could name any of the disciples that were fishermen. The little boy named one or two and the little girl told Jackson she had no clue what he was talking about and that she did not go to Church and she did not know if any of that was true. After Jackson finished he said Mama thats sad.

On the way to school to drop Jackson off this morning we had a conversation about the play room being messy and how we were going to clean it up. I said we would make a pile for things to throw away, and a pile to give away. He asked if we could put the stuff that we were going to throw away in a box and leave it by the mail box and wondered if the mail man would pick it up and give it to the kids in Africa that do not have toys to play with.

Its been a trying week here at the Skelton house. If one kid is happy the other is pitching a fit. If both kids are happy watch out 5 minutes later they are both ill! It does not help we have not been home much at all and every night the kids have gotten to bed WAY way way to late. Jackson is worn out from all the school activities they have been having and Stephen is not liking taking a nap. Hopefully our normal will come back soon!!!
