FYI!!!!!!!!!!

Stephen can finally say MOMMY!!! It is music to my ear and I ask him to say it all the time. Oh its just the simple small things in life!!! He has been saying mama for so long, but never mommy. I love that Jackson, even at age 7 still calls me mommy. Now that my two boys say it............it makes life so worth while.

I have so much to blog about and so many good pictures to post. As soon as life settles down I will put some good stuff on here. I know some grandparents and aunts might want to see the little boys!!!!

Friday Fun!!!

We ventured out to Gainesville today. We had several errands. The insurance company, BB&T, Car wash and vacuum and of course Chick-fil-A!!! The boys were on their A game and everyone we saw of course commented on how well they were acting. They even got 2 suckers!! They sat still at the places. Stephen was a little rowdy at Chick-fil-A, but he was okay. At the insurance agency everyone kept asking how old they were and at BB&T I got asked if they were twins. I mean seriously. Different color eyes, hair and even skin color. Come on people???? Politely I said know and explained Matt was my cousin and I just watch him 3 days a week. The boys are napping while I type and I am watching the clock to get Jackson. We have a fun filled weekend ahead of us. Can't wait to see the ole Bright bunch in the big town of Greenville!!!

We had to run to Walmart and pick up food for a funeral and everyone was commenting on how well the little ones were acting. Jackson was at school so it was just me, Matt and little Stevie!!!
In the morning before it warms up we play inside. They had a ball riding each other around on the dump truck!!

Popsicles are a must in the hot afternoons!!!

This little man enjoyed swinging, sliding and bothering the cat!!!

This dude enjoyed playing in the rocks, swinging and tormenting his little brother

I have been trying to get organized with my sales and coupons. I finished cleaning the rental trailer. Jackson started baseball this week. So its been a little crazy around here!! Hopefully it will settle down and I can be a good blogger again!!!!

Saving Money

I know alot of the moms out there try different ways to save money. I tried Grocery Gamers, but I realized I could do this on my own and save money not having to pay even a small fee. I have done this since staying home with my babes. I don't do it all the time, but when I do I save BIG. I usually get the coupons from my mother in law or Bart's Grandmother. This past Sunday we stopped and got a paper and boy am I glad I did!! I hit the Jack pot this week!! Publix had Lysol Wipes B1G1 Free and I had a coupon for $1 off 2! So I stocked up since Jackson's class uses them like crazy and this is what Jackson uses to clean his bathroom. Also at Publix this week Powerade bottles B1G1 Free. Jackson is taking a new medicine for his stomach and powerade seems to be the only thing he likes taking it with.

My biggest sales were at CVS! Here is a list of items I purchased:

3 1/2 Gallons of Tropicana OJ
6 Dove Deodorants
2 Right Guard Deodorants
3 bags of Easter Candy
6 packs of Gum
1 bottle of Herbal Essents Conditioner
4 Colgate Toothbrushes

I know that list is not that BIG, but I did save $47.00. I ended up spending 36.00. I now have enough OJ to last me a week and a half, enough deo to last me a good while and the same for Bart. I am stocked up on Candy for Church, School and Easter Baskets. We have enough tooth brushes to last me and Bart 6 months and I was in desperate need of Conditioner! I used 3 coupons on OJ, 1 coupon for the candy and a coupon for the conditioner! Dove, Right Guard and Colgate usually have coupons, but I did not have any. It was still a good enough deal to get it.

Its important to only buy what you will use. If you can stock up on great deals thats even better. Don't go out any buy something just cause it was a great deal. In the end you might not use it and it would be a waste of money!

Thanks for letting me bore you with my money saving ideas!!

Fun Friday!!

The kids were out of school on Friday so Thursday night we had the Blocker boys over! Jackson and Stephen ADORE these 2 little boys so its always a pleasure to have them over!!! Its even better because their mom is my BFF!!! They are very well behaved and ALWAYS use their Yes Ma'am No Ma' am and Please and Thank you skills!!! The 3 big boys had alot of fun playing the Wii!! They built tents!!!

And they drug Stephen around and even Caleb too!!!

4 PEAS IN A POD!!!

Friday morning was more fun!! They woke up at 4:30 and I sent them back to bed. Then at 6:30 they woke up again and they were ready to play! :( So we got up and I made breakfast and they played. After lunch we had ice cream and the boys were making such a mess!! It started with Stephen then Ethan then Jackson then Caleb!! They had a great time! We are so blessed to have such great friend with great kids that share in our beliefs. Its nice to have good Christian friends these days and the Blockers are a wonderful example of Godly people!

This is actually a "Clean" picture of Stephen. He needed a bath after he was done. He had it on his chest and belly!!

I thought I was a good mother!!!!

I had him in my belly for almost 9 months.
I nursed him for 14 months.
I change all his diapers.
Wipe his snotty nose.
Lay down with him till he is asleep.
Get up with him every night.
Get him DILK (milk) @ 2 a.m.
Hold him whenever he wants me to.
Play with him all the time.
And he decides that he is leaving me. Thats right folks! He escaped me. Both locks on the door and all. Walked out bare foot and all carrying his own diaper, cell phone in pocket and a few other toys. I heard the door shut, I ran to the laundry room and he was past the car walking off. He was ready to see his Mimi (my mom) and he was not waiting on me any more. And yes I did take this picture. I do like to document silly things that happen in our life! He was snotty nosed and all.

Friday Fun!!!

Stephen having a good ole time picking up rocks out of the turtle!! Then putting the rocks in the bobcat.

Then dumping the bobcat in the dump truck!!

Making vroom vroom noises!! I think he has watched his daddy work way to much. This kid loves bobcats and dump trucks!! I guess Bart has raised him in hopes of Stephen working for the family business one day??

I can see him being a part of Skelton INC can't you??

Stephen petting the cat as gentle as he can!!!

Then he goes in for the grab!! This poor cat!!!

He tries toting him around like a sack of tators!!

OPPS!! just about dropped him buddy!!

He will just put him on the picnic table since he can't hold him very long!!

Stephen enjoying the slide!!!

Matt likes playing peek a boo!!

Stephen climbed on Jacksons bike!! His boot got stuck, but he had fun climbing!!

Opps this got misplaced!!!! But eventually he got the cat on the table. He also was able to poke the cats eyes and the cat nipped at his finger and scratched him. He really does love the cat. I promise!!

Cow Show

Last Saturday Jackson heard it was the cow show. He went last year with his Papa and wanted to go this year. Jackson called Papa and they had a date!!!! Stephen found out that Jackson was going with Papa and Stephen kept pointing to his chest saying Me, Papa. Meaning he wanted to go with Papa too!!! Jackson called and asked if Stephen could go to. I dress them up as county as I could and since they looked ever so cute I took a moment to snatch a picture.

Sneaky Stephen!!!

Last week Stephen was into everything. Some days he pulls all the books off the shelves while some days he just empties the toy box. The other days he is trying to mess up Jackson's room or he takes toy by toy out of the play room and into the living room.
He also likes to go and climb in unusual places. This is our lego table. He likes to sit on it and read or play.

I am thankful we have a 4th bedroom that I can set aside as a toy room. The door knob is actually broken and has been since shortly after we moved in. It works in my advantage. It worked out real well last year for Jackson that if he got in trouble he could not have toy time for how ever long. So I could just take the door knob off and well he could not get in. On other days when I am overwhelmed and don't feel like looking at the room or cleaning it I can take it off and well.........outa site outa mind!! Then there are days that Stephen empties the play room so all the toys end up on the couch or kitchen or where ever. So I can take it off when he reaches full capacity in the other rooms!! Some might call that bad mom tactics, but hey I do what I can to stay sane!!! The kids have way to many toys and I am a hoarder. We still have all of Jackson's toys from when he was small, plus all of Stephen's toys from the past 2 years. I am going to tackle the room soon and take several bags to the thrift store!

Basketball awards!

Jackson really enjoyed playing Basketball this year. This was his 2nd time playing. The 1st time was when he was 5. His coach was awesome!! She did not yell or scream at the boys and that just made me even more happy. I can't stand going to a game and hearing the coach yell and holler and stomp their feet or throw their hat down. Yes folks we experienced all that and more this year watching these 7 and 8 yr olds play and try to have fun. So anyways Jackson's coach was great and we could not have asked for a better one!!!

Dr. Seuss Celebration @ school

This week at school the kids were able to celebrate Dr. Suess!! Each day was different and since we were out for snow 2 days we did not get to do everything. Jackson was looking forward to this week, but Mother Nature does her own thing!!

I realize the 2 red's don't match, but oh well!! He normally does not dress like that. He has a very good sense of style!! (yeah right!!!!!) I just cut out a circle and wrote on it and sewed it onto a red shirt. Super easy costume idea. I even called Walmart last night to see if they had blue hair spray.

This was taken with my camera phone so not very good quality. I thought it was a close up of the hair. It took LOTS and LOTS of gel and hairspray to get it like this. I imagine it only stayed like this for about an hour into school!!!

snow day!!!! (WARNING: picture overload)

We got up this morning and decided to go get a biscuit. Bart loves to play in the snow so we took the truck out and looked at some bobcat jobs up in the mountains. I thought this small road was so pretty and so we got the boys out and took a few pics!!

Jackson!!! Stephen loved getting out of the truck and playing for a few minutes!!

Dancing in the truck!!

After playing in the truck we decided to go and have some real fun with the boys!!!

Starting to make the snowman

Jackson starting to make the head of the snowman!!

Stephen liked throwing snowballs at his momma!! The snowman got a little heavy so they had to get the bobcat to lift the last 2 pieces up!!!

Stephen loved eating the snow!!

Jackson making some kind of silly face!!

We played at my in laws today and I forgot to pack so many things. One of them being gloves!!!

Stephen and Jackson throwing snowballs!!

Jackson dancing on his knees in the snow!! and Stephen eating the snow!!

UH! OH! Bubba just got busted with a snowball!!!

Jackson had the snowball in his mouth....................

then Stephen stole it and put it in his mouth.............

then spit it out!!!!!!!!!! Gross I know!!

Several pictures of the boys with the 7 1/2 foot snowman they built @ nana and papas!!! This is the final result!! Looks pretty good!!! I sent this picture to my fox 5 Atlanta and the weather channel! Hopefully they will share the picture on tv!!!

Papa with his boys!!

Stephen was more interested in the 4wheeler going by.
