A Brief, but very important intermission......

Our Church had our Christmas play the Sunday before Christmas! Talk about AMAZING!!!!!! Jackson was a Shepard and Stephen was a sheep!!! They did great and I was ever so proud!! I actually took all the play pictures before the play. It worked out because I was able to sit front row during rehearsal and snap these good pictures!!

This was right after the play. Just a few people new about the paintings. They were from Friendship Baptist Church here in Cleveland. The painters were dressed in all white and there was a guy to the side dressed in a red shirt. When they were done painting the painters got on their knees behind the canvas and the guy with the red shirt came with a sponge with red paint and I know you can look at the paintings and see what happened next. I was truly blessed by our play!

This is AMAZING!!!!!!! And our Jesus CHRIST is AMAZING!!!

I almost ruined Santa.........

with this picture that I forgot to delete out of my camera. On the way home from Buford Christmas Eve, Jackson gets my camera and starts looking at the pictures. He gets to this and my hearts drops. I immediately grab it from him and try to change the story. He proceeds to ask me when we get home if he can look at the 4 wheeler pictures again. UGH!!
Well to make a long story short this gift was from me and Bart and not the big guy in the red suit.
He loved it and we did not even make an ER trip!!
Will post more Christmas pics soon!!
Merry CHRISTmas!!

Christmas Parade 12-05-09

So I am a little late on this, but had to share since we are still in the Christmas season. The parade was good and it was very very cold out. Stephen was bundled up so much he could not move much!!

The best float!! Put on by the school bus drivers!! It was my favorite!!

I am missing this little guy today. He is with his daddy and will be home Thursday night. Bart and I can't wait! Its hard when he is gone, but when its the holidays its even harder.
Merry Christmas!!!!!

WELL they are here......... :(

Well here you have it. They were delivered today and will be in the trash very soon. :( I ordered from a company called ArtsCow. You get 50 free 5x7's free every month so I thought well I can afford to get enough for family and some friends. I was so excited when I went to the mail box!! THEN I opened the big envelope and was sick. Sick I tell ya. Its printed on a 5x7 picture but the picture is so dang small. I even showed it to Jackson and he was like you're using this mom its so little. I ordered it from Walmart ahead of time just to see it in real life before I ordered 75. It turned out PERFECT!! So after a long heated conversation with some lady in Hong Kong they have refunded my money, you get to see the real thing and I have now placed another order through Walmart. This is not what everyone will be getting its just a plain jane greeting card. Oh and BTW the picture was taken by yours truly and the actual format was done by a super talented lady named Stephanie that I found off etsy! She did a great job. I will continue to use ArtsCow for 4x6's. After all you get 100 free and all you pay is shipping.

Gingerbread House 2009

Its a tradition at the Skelton home to do a Gingerbread house every Christmas. We headed to Walmart to pick it up and Jackson fell in love with the 5 mini ginger bread house. I thought OH How cute that will be super easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah right! 5 minutes into it I thought what in the world have I done. This is crazy. I am ready to throw this away. UGH! If any of you are planning to do this.......STOP just do the big house. Trust me!! We did it, but it turned out looking terrible!!! The kids had fun and that's all that mattered.
Of course there was lots of finger licking!!!

It was a total mess with the little one!! Jackson of course made a mess, but Stephen really out did him self. I gave them a bath before (I know stupid me) so they really needed a cleaning up afterwards. Next year we will just stick with one house!!!

Very Impatiently waiting for our Christmas cards in the mail

Here are a few other pictures from the 3rd try of getting 1(ONE) good Christmas card picture. With one Child and the one child being Jackson I could get a GREAT picture like the 1st time. I did not have to try 3 times. He always posed and did great!! Well last year I did not get the GREAT picture I wanted. I got a good one, but not exactly what I wanted. So we have taken SEVERAL this year and just to let you know I have taken 185 to be exact. I think oh this will be great and then I look and Stephens head is turned or his whole body is turned or his pants are wet on the belly because it had been raining and his mother did not hold his hand while walking and he tripped and fell face 1st on the ground. Or he has a huge screw driver and his bubba trys to get a hug and secretly takes it from him, but the screw driver is still in the picture. Or Jackson has a weird smile or he is looking away from the camera. While Bart was headed to Boston after Thanksgiving I took a picture (our Christmas card picture)and thought oh I LOVE it, but I am sure Bart will hate it. So I kept trying to take another GREAT picture and still was not satisfied. I begged Bart to look at the pictures with me on the computer and he was in love with the same picture I was in love with. I can't wait to show the Christmas card, but I can't till I get them mailed. I am very very impatiently waiting for them to be delivered, but they are coming from the United Kingdom, so I imagine they will be here sometime before Christmas 2010. I will be so happy when the mail man delivers them. I will be just sick if they don't come soon. Bart even ask if they have came yet. Hopefully next week.

Thanksgiving 2009

I hosted Thanksgiving for the family at our house this past Sunday. We had a great time and some pretty good food. Everyone said the turkey was great!! We had SO much food!! I wanted to do something special for Jackson since he would be celebrating Thanksgiving with Rodney. He really really really wanted to play football, but it had been raining and it was so muddy. From L to R: Bart, Holly, Stephen, Pam, Farrell, Jason, Jo Anna and my daddy(Carey)
Pamela, Carley, Carlos and Vanessa. (BTW sorry ya'll had to sit at the childs table!!!)

After lunch they played games. I think they drug out EVERY game Jackson owns and I am still finding white balls for hungry hippo.

Saturday before we made turkeys. They turned out cute, but I don't have a picture of the final project.

This is how Jackson has slept all week!! This particular night Stephen HAD to lay with bubba and he actually fell asleep before Jackson did.

My 3 layer cake did not turn out so good. It started to break in half and this is right after I finished decorating. The next morning it looked even worse. NOTE to self: just make sheet cakes from now on!!!
Hope ya'll had a blessed Thanksgiving. Ours was great except Jackson being gone and Bart leaving for Massachusetts. I have so much to be thankful for. Here are just a few.
1.) a saving and forgiving GOD
2.) my husband (he is great and is a wonderful daddy, person, and friend)
3.) Jackson and Stephen (they keep me on my toes 24/7, but the smiles and love are worth it!!)
4.) family
5.) friends
6.) food and shelter and a vehicle
Well thats 6, BUT I truly have so much to be thankful for. The list would go on and on!!

Have a safe and blessed weekend!!
